Institute to storm Enugu streets with anti-same sex marriage, abortion campaigns

In keeping with its vision, the International Bio-Research Institute, Enugu is to hold a 2-day international seminar and street march on life challenging societal vices.
The programme will focus on issues such as kidnapping, same-sex marriage, child and mother trafficking, mercy killing, among others.
The event, which holds August 29 and 30, 2013, will take place at the Odumegwu Ojukwu Auditorium of the Institute, at Ugwuogo-Nike, Enugu state.
The event, with the theme “Family and the Beginning of Life Issues in Africa” is being organised by the Institute in collaboration with Steadfast Onlus Foundation, Italy.
The climax of the event will be a street march on the 30th of August, 2013.
According to the organizers, the march termed “March for Life Nigeria”, which would commence at the Independence Layout Enugu, would terminate at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Briefing journalists on the programme, the facilitator of the International Bio-Research Institute, Ugwogo-Nike, Enugu state, Professor Edmund Agbo, disclosed that muslims, christians and non christians were expected to attend the event.
He condemned abortion and disclosed that the right to live belonged to the child.
According to him, a woman is only a custodian of the born and unborn child.
Professor Agbo stated that the International Bio-Research Institute, Ugwogo-Nike was into research in all its ramifications.
According to him, the institution also teaches herbal medicine and its science and technology, adding that the institution was committed to training people that would be in a vantage position to teach others tomorrow.
He used the opportunity to condemn child marriage, saying that any law that encourages the marriage was not a good law.
“A law that approves child marriage is a law of death and not a law of life; it is sacrilegious”, he averred.
The university don further maintained that life starts from fertilization, adding that during the forth-coming event, people would be re-sensitized on the need to stop abortion
